UrbanSitter

Senior Product DesignerJanuary 2022 - August 2023

NOTE: This portion of my portfolio is currently under construction and I’m adding a lot more work to this section. Below is a brief overview of my time at UrbanSitter.

UrbanSitter is a care marketplace service that connects families with caregivers, to find care across a range of verticals. It is available on web, mobile web, and native apps.

As the sole designer, I collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketing, and business stakeholders to solve immediate and future problems on multiple touch points, and for multiple users (families, caregivers, and BD partners). My focus is on improving existing features and designing new features, to increase functionality for all our users whilst also aligning with business goals.

In my time at UrbanSitter I have been involved in the following projects;

  • Refresh of the homepage design as well as updating the SEO strategy
  • Complete refresh and functionality overhaul of the family dashboard
  • Implementing a new feature to increase % of new caregiver’s availability, as well as increasing % of new caregivers booking their first job.
  • Creation of a landing page for our Employer benefits users to launch a new program called Complete Care in partnership with Kinside.
  • Designing a new feature for caregivers to receive updates regarding the status of their application to job posts. Adding a filter to sort by applied jobs, and adding a sidebar widget to job posts with similar jobs caregivers may be interested in.
  • Designing a new group feature for Employer benefit users to view caregivers colleagues are recommending and using.
  • Updating our paywall value modal to increase subscriptions for families.
  • Updating our payment type component to introduce a new flat-rate booking feature for families.
  • Building a new design system in Figma with an updated brand refresh.
